Punjabi actor Dev Kharoud, renowned for his compelling performances in films like "Blackia" and "Dakuan Da Munda," recently visited the Connect FM Canada studio during promotion for his film "Ucha Dar Babe Nanak Da," directed by Tarnvir Jagpal. In an exclusive interview, he voiced his concerns about the misuse of Punjab's name in politics. He emphasized the importance of staying close to Gurbani and highlighted the critical issue of water scarcity in Punjab.
Dev Kharoud stressed the relevance of films like "Ucha Dar Babe Nanak Da" in today's context. He expressed a strong opinion regarding the water crisis in Punjab, stating that the responsibility does not solely lie with the government but with the people of Punjab themselves. According to him, meaningful change can only occur when Punjab's residents recognize the significance of water conservation and take proactive measures to safeguard it.
He asserted, "Don't expect anything from any political party unless the people of Punjab realize how vital water is for them and take steps to preserve it from disappearing." "Ucha Dar Babe Nanak Da" features Yograj Singh, Sarbjeet Cheema, Harj Nagra, Moncia Gill, and Isha Reikhi in prominent roles.
