Veteran Bollywood actor Meenakshi Seshadri is all set to make a fresh start in the entertainment world after moving back to Mumbai nearly 30 years after leaving India. Famous for memorable performances in films like Hero, Damini, Ghayal and Ghatak, the 62-year-old actor shared that she is now looking forward to taking up strong and meaningful roles once again.
Meenakshi, who stepped away from films after getting married in 1997 and settled in the United States, announced her return through a heartfelt Instagram video.
Thanking fans for their continued love and support, she revealed that she has now returned to her “Karma Bhoomi” with excitement, optimism and renewed passion for acting.
The actor said she is open to all kinds of projects, whether lead roles, supporting characters or even short-format appearances, as long as the role leaves an impact. She also expressed interest in exploring opportunities across films and OTT platforms that would allow her to challenge herself creatively and discover new sides of her craft.
The actor began her Bollywood journey with Painter Babu in 1983 and rose to fame the same year with Subhash Ghai’s blockbuster Hero opposite Jackie Shroff.
