The ongoing saga surrounding Ranveer Singh’s departure from Don 3 has taken a new twist, with the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) now directing a non-cooperation stance against the actor. This controversy reignites tensions between Singh and Excel Entertainment, led by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
In early March, a pivotal meeting involving industry heavyweights like Aamir Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Karan Johar saw Ranveer’s team propose a significant financial offer to Excel. They suggested an upfront payment of ₹10 crores, along with a ₹25 crore discount on future collaborations outside of Don 3, aiming to smooth over relations.
However, this proposition was swiftly dismissed by Akhtar and Sidhwani. Insiders reveal that the Excel team felt the future discount lacked practicality, as they had no interest in working with Singh again. They expressed that the prolonged delays and ensuing fallout had inflicted substantial financial and professional harm, leading them to demand direct compensation instead.
