Indian stand-up comedian Vir Das secured prestigious Emmy award for Best Comedy series during a ceremony held in New York.
This was Vir Das’s second nomination. Vir Das received the Emmy for his Netflix stand-up special, Vir Das: Landing.

Sony LIV unveils teaser of musical thriller series 'Chamak'
Popular film director Rohit Jugraj Chauhan of Jatt James Bond fame took to his social media account to share the teaser of his upcoming series Chamak.
Chamak is a story of a young artist whose father, a renowned singer, was tragically shot during a live performance.
The film stars Paramvir Singh Cheema in the lead role along with Manoj Pahwa, Gippy Grewal, Isha Talwar, Suvinder Singh and Prince Kanwaljit Singh.
Chamak releases on Sony LIV on December 7.
The film is co- produced by Geetanjali Mehelwa Chauhan, Rohit Jugraj and Sumeet Dubey.

Directed by Sandeep Vanga the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role.

Urfi booked for maligning police image through fake video
As per sources, Mumbai police has booked social media influencer Urfi Javed for maligning their image through a fake arrest video.
"A viral video of a woman being allegedly arrested by Police, in a case of obscenity is not true,” Mumbai police said on social media platform.
“A criminal case has been registered against those involved in the misleading video,” the police said.
