Former MLA Dalvir Singh Goldy from Dhuri constituency of Sangrur district of Punjab has left Aam Aadmi Party. He said that he is no longer a part of any party. He also hinted that he may return to the Congress. Goldy said that he will contest the 2027 assembly elections from Dhuri constituency even if Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann does not stand before him again. In the 2022 elections too, Congress had pitted Goldy against Bhagwant Mann but he had to face defeat. After this in May this year, Dalvir Singh Goldy left the Congress and joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
