First patient of Mpox virulent strain clade-1 found in India

First patient of Mpox virulent strain clade-1 has been found in India. This is the same strain that WHO has declared as a global health agency. According to the health department, the patient had returned to Kerala from the UAE last week. The victim is 38 years old. On September 17, he self-quarantined after showing symptoms of Mpox. There are 32 laboratories for Mpox testing in India. Notably, the Clade 1 variant of Mpox is a fast-spreading strain, first identified in the Democratic Republic of Congo, from where it spread to other countries.

B.C. residential unit sales up in July but down year-to-date, association says

Sales of homes in British Columbia grew in July compared with the same month last year, but year-to-date numbers show transactions remain slower. The British Columbia Real Estate Association says there were about 7,000 residential unit sales in the province last month, up 2.2 per cent from the numbers reported in July 2024.
