First patient of Mpox virulent strain clade-1 found in India
First patient of Mpox virulent strain clade-1 has been found in India. This is the same strain that WHO has declared as a global health agency. According to the health department, the patient had returned to Kerala from the UAE last week.
The victim is 38 years old. On September 17, he self-quarantined after showing symptoms of Mpox. There are 32 laboratories for Mpox testing in India.
Notably, the Clade 1 variant of Mpox is a fast-spreading strain, first identified in the Democratic Republic of Congo, from where it spread to other countries.

Union for grain terminal workers in Metro Vancouver says strike to start Tuesday
The union representing grain workers at terminals in Metro Vancouver says it has served the employer with a 72-hour strike notice.
The Grain Workers Union Local 333 says in a notice posted to Facebook that it served the notice at 7 a.m. Saturday, with job action to start Tuesday.
