The Indian National Congress (INC) opened its account in Punjab, as former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi won the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat by defeating BJP’s Sushil Kumar Rinku with a margin of 1,75,993 votes.The Indian National Congress’ (INC) Channi got 3,90,053 votes. He was followed by BJP’s Rinku who polled 2,14,060 votes.
