Recently, a video of Punjabi singer Dilpreet Dhillon making unwanted remarks on the ‘Mirasi’ community at a live show is going viral on social media.

In the video, Dilpreet can be heard saying that he is not quite familiar with singing in the shows as he isn’t a Mirasi‘. “Eddan Live Ja Gauna Mainu Ghat Aunda Ae Thoda Ja, Kyonki Singer Thodi Ae. Mirasi Nhi Na Haiga, Jatt Ae”.

This casteist remark by the artist has not gone down well with many who feel that people from the ‘Mirasis’ community are as human as anyone else!
