Chandigarh’s Harnaaz Sandhu crowned as Miss Universe India 2021
In a recently held ceremony Chandigarh’s Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned as the Miss Universe India 2021. The diva won the prestigious title and was honoured by Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon. Harnaaz will now represent India at the 70th edition of the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Israel. Harnaaz Sandhu, 21, has earlier bagged multiple pageant titles to her name and has also featured in Punjabi films like Bai Ji Kuttange.

Afsana Khan returns to ‘Bigg Boss 15’ just hours after quitting
Punjabi singer Afsana Khan of Titliaan Warga fame surprised her fans when she revealed on her social media accounts that she will be leaving ‘Bigg Boss 15’. She dropped out of the reality show after having panic episodes in her hotel room while quarantined. She announced the news on her social media accounts.
However, now the singer is on her way back to the ‘Bigg Boss’ house. Afsana has opted to retake the challenge after withdrawing from the TV program. She joined her co-participants on the show.

Title of Ammy Virk starrer ‘Hun Ni Mud De Yaar’ movie changed
Punjabi singer-actor Ammy Virk took to his social media account to talk about the title change of his upcoming film, Hun Ni Mud De Yaar. The film starring Ammy Virk, Wamiqa Gabbi, Nasir Chinyoti, Zafri Khan and Yasamani Mohsani is now renamed to, ‘Aaja Mexico Challiye’. This will be released worldwide in theatres on November 25, 2021.
The film is written and directed by Rakesh Dhawan.

Amrit Maan is no longer the ‘Hakam’
Punjabi singer-actor Amrit Maan had recently unveiled the first look poster of his much-awaited film ‘Hakam’. Now, the artist took to social media to share a new update on the change in the title of the film.
Along with the poster, Amrit Maan announced that the title of the film is changed to ‘Babbar’. The actor shared that the makers had to change due to technical reasons. He wrote, “Technical reasons karke HAKAM movie da naam BABBAR rakh ditta gya hai..BABBAR jaldi release hovegi tuhade nazdeeki cinemas de vich.”

Afsana Khan backs out of Bigg Boss 15
Even before the Bigg Boss 15 premiere, popular Punjabi singer Afsana Khan has decided to quit the show due to health reasons. The “Titliyan” fame singer was in quarantine in a Mumbai hospital, where she got a panic attack and was also running a fever. After getting medical help, Afsana decided to fly back to her hometown.Afsana Khan also took to Instagram to apologise to her fans and even shared a photo of her prescription.

Moosa Jatt fails to obtain certification from Censor Board
It is being said that Punjabi film Moosa Jatt starring Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, which was on the verge of being released theatrically worldwide on 1 October has not been able to acquire approval from the Central Board of Film Certification.
As a result, the release of Moosa Jatt has been postponed in India. The movie will not be releasing on 1 October in India. But in the rest of the world, it will be released as per its previous schedule. The movie has been delayed indefinitely.

Punjabi singer Simiran Kaur Dhadli’s most-talked about song, Lahu Di Awaaz has been removed from Youtube. The removal has come following a copyright claim filed by social influencer Meetii Kalher for using her pictures in the music video of the song. Meetii Kalher also took it to Instagram to confirm that the claim was filed by her. Sharing a screenshot of the removed song and her copyright claim, Meetii wrote that usually she has no trouble with Punjabi songs and ideologies, but if you are using her pictures or videos, you have to pay her.
