Moose Wala killing: Politicians, fans join singer's family at bhog ceremony in Mansa
Politicians rubbed shoulders with fans from Punjab and neighbouring Haryana as hundreds gathered at the New Grain Market in Mansa on Wednesday morning to take part in the bhog ceremony organised by the family of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Shubhdeep Singh, popular as Sidhu Moose Wala, who was shot dead by unidentified assailants on May 29.

Ambulance response time investigation completed in fatal Calgary dog attack
Alberta Health Services says a communications mix-up is the reason why it took an ambulance 30 minutes to respond after dogs attacked an 86-year-old woman in Calgary.
It says the call for help was initially triaged as non-life-threatening.
Police later told emergency medical services that the woman's injuries were serious and she died.
Police say the three dogs, which were seized by the city, are believed to be a North American pit bull-terrier mix, a North American Staffordshire mix and an American pit bull.

Armed man arrested near Justice Kavanaugh's house
WASHINGTON- The Supreme Court says an armed man who made threats against Justice Brett Kavanaugh was arrested near the justice's house in Maryland.
The man was arrested around 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, court spokeswoman Patricia McCabe said in an email.
The Washington Post initially reported the arrest, quoting sources who said the man is from California and was upset by a leaked draft opinion suggesting the court is about to overrule Roe v. Wade, the court's landmark abortion case. He was also said to be upset over recent mass shootings, the Post reported.

Police identify victims of double homicide in Richmond
Police have identified two men who were found shot to death in a Richmond parkade last weekend. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says the bodies of 23 year old Kevin Allaraj and 22 year old Jeevan Saepan were found by RCMP officers responding to reports of shots fired at about 11:30 am on Saturday. IHIT says the victims were from the Lower Mainland and known to police. It adds initial information indicates the shooting was a targeted incident connected to gang activities.
