Bharatiya Janata Party has been given a big fight by India Alliance in the Lok Sabha elections. BJP on its own seems to be lagging behind the majority by 32 seats, in 2019 the party got 303 seats. However, NDA is seen forming the government with 298 seats. There, the India alliance of Congress, Samajwadi Party and other opposition parties is ahead in 228 seats. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a hat-trick in the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday. He defeated his nearest Congress candidate Ajay Rai by 1,52,513 votes. Modi received 6,12,970 votes, while the Congress candidate got 4,80,457 votes. BSP candidate Athar Jamal Lari got 33,766 votes. A total of 8,478 votes were also polled in NOTA (none of the above) from the constituency. In 2019, he won by a margin of 4.79 lakh votes by getting 63% of votes, and in 2014 by a margin of 3.50 lakh votes.

Congress candidate for the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat Gurjeet Singh Aujla makes hat-trick. He has secured 125847 votes. He defeats rival candidates Taranjit Signh Sandhu from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and AAP's candidate Kuldeep Singh Dhariwal. Dhariwal got 105462 votes and Sandhu secured 109843 votes.

Amrinder Raja Warring from INC wins with ** votes. Ravneet Singh Bittu from BJP is in the second place. Bittu, a three-time Congress MP and the grandson of slain Punjab chief minister and dyed-in-wool Congressman Beant Singh, had shifted to BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Warring has become three-time MLA from Gidderbaha of Muktsar district.

Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal has wins from Bathinda. He has become an MP from Bathinda for the fourth time. AAP's Gurmeet has been on the second place. Harsimrat Kaur Badal has secured a lead of 45494 votes. Harsimrat Kaur Badal got 274514 votes, Mohinder Singh Sidhu, Congress got 144003, Gurmeet Singh Khudian AAP got 231020 votes and BJP's Parampal Kaur Sidhu got 79512 votes. There are 9 assembly seats under this seat which include Lambi, Bathinda Urban, Bathinda Rural, Bhucho Mandi, Maur Mandi, Talwandi Sabo, Mansa, Sardulgarh and Budhlada Assembly.

Congress candidate Amar Singh has been delcared winner from Fatehgarh Sahib with a lead of 34202 votes.He has secured 332591 votes. This time, 62.53 percent voting took place in the entire constituency, while 65.68 percent voting took place in 2019. There were 14 candidates in fray.

Congress candidate Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has been delcared winner from Gurdaspur. He has secured 333742 votes.The prominent candidates were Dinesh Singh “Babbu” from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and AAP's candidate Amansher Singh Kalsi. Babbu got 255995 votes. Kalsi secured 268081 votes.

Counting in Faridkot Lok Sabha seat continues from 8 am. Independent candidate Sarabjit Singh Khalsa has won from this seat. He has captured the seat by winning 292186 votes. On the other hand, AAP's Karamjit Anmol got 223351 votes, Akali Dal's Rajwinder Singh 135328, Congress's Amarjit Kaur Sahoke 157754 and BJP's Hansraj Hans got 122360 votes. After winning, Sarabjit Singh Khalsa said that the public has won me.
