Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh arrived in Vancouver yesterday to kick off his 'Dil Luminati Tour' at BC Place. This is the first time in history that a Punjabi singer superstar will perform in BC. Liquor scam case: Arvind Kejriwal in jail reprimanded by the High Court
The High Court has reprimanded Arvind Kejriwal, imprisoned in Tihar Jail in Delhi's liquor scam. The court said that despite being in jail, Kejriwal has put his personal interests above national interests by not resigning from the post of Chief Minister.
The High Court was hearing the delay in getting books and uniforms to more than two lakh students in Delhi Municipal Corporation schools when this comment was made.

Amritpal Singh will contest independent elections from Khadur Sahib
Punjab's Khadur Sahib Lok Sabha seat will be contested as an independent candidate by Amritpal Singh, the head of the Punjab organization. This was confirmed by his mother Balwinder Kaur.
It is to be noted that at present Amritpal Singh along with his colleagues are locked up in Dibrugarh Jail of Assam under the National Security Act. Punjab Police arrested Amritpal Singh in April 2023 from Rode village of Moga district.

Excise policy case: Manish Sisodia's judicial custody extended till May 8
AAP leader Manish Sisodia, imprisoned in Tihar Jail in Delhi liquor scam case, has not got any relief. The Rose Avenue court has extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia till May 8 in the money laundering case related to the Delhi Excise Policy case.

Canada sanctions Iran defence minister, others after missile attack on Israel
Canada is targeting Iran's defence minister as part of a new round of sanctions imposed after the country's retaliatory attack on Israel earlier this month.
The sanctions affect two institutions and two military leaders, and come a week after Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly said Canada would target more Iranians.
