Voting was held in 88 seats of 13 states and Union Territories in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in India today. Tripura, Manipur, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Assam recorded more than 70 percent voter turnout, while Bihar, Uttar Pradesh recorded around 53 percent voting.

In the second phase, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, 5 Union Ministers, 2 former Chief Ministers and 3 film stars were in the election field. Apart from this, voting was also held on the seats of Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor and Hema Malini. In 2019, BJP won the highest number of 50 seats in the second phase and its allies won 8 seats.

At that time Congress won 21 seats and others got 9 seats. It may be noted that after today the 5th round of voting will end by June 1 and the results of all the seats will come on June 4.
