EDMONTON - The Alberta government says it will extend its electricity rebates until the end of the year as the cost of living continues to rise. The Alberta government is set to announce that electricity rebates will run until December. The are reports that government will extend the 50-dollar per month rebates until the end of the year. In late June, the province confirmed Albertans would see the rebates on their bills in July, August and September. Vancouver Granville Street Homicide: 35-Year-Old Man Arrested

Vancouver Police have arrested 35-year-old James Christopher Holmgren after Crown counsel approved a second-degree murder charge in connection with a fatal stabbing on Granville Street last year. Police were called to the area of Granville Street and Helmcken Street on November 17, 2025, after reports of a man suffering from a stab wound.
