ED has arrested former Congress minister Bharat Bhushan's close associate Rajdeep Singh
Congress leader Rajdeep Singh of Khanna, close to former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, was arrested by the ED late at night in the Rs 2000 crore transport tender scam of Punjab. Raids were going on at Rajdeep Singh's locations from 4 am on Wednesday. Rajdeep Singh Khanna acts as Aarti.
During the raid, ED found several important evidences from his premises. After the arrest, Rajdeep Singh was presented in the Jalandhar court today and the ED obtained a five-day remand. On the other hand, the judicial custody of Bharat Bhushan Ashu has also been extended for 14 days.

Vancouver home sales fall 17% in August despite interest rate cuts: board
Greater Vancouver Realtors says home sales in the region dropped 17.1 per cent in August from a year earlier and were more than a quarter below the 10-year seasonal average.
The real estate body says sales in the market totalled 1,904 last month, down from the 2,296 recorded in August 2023.
