The Punjab Police is set to bring seven associates of 'Waris Punjab De' organization chief Amritpal Singh to Punjab today on transit remand from Dibrugarh Jail. They will be presented in a local court in connection with the case filed over the 2023 attack on Ajnala police station.

Recently, the Punjab government lifted the National Security Act (NSA) on Bhagwant Singh Bajeke, Daljit Singh Kalsi, and five other associates of Amritpal Singh. However, Amritpal Singh, Pappalpreet Singh, and Varinder Vicky will remain in Dibrugarh Jail, as the hearing regarding their NSA in the High Court is scheduled for March 22. Following the court's decision, the Punjab government will take further action.
