According to the government, show cause notices have been issued to the SSP, SP, DSP and CIA in-charge present at the time of Bishnoi's interview. Lawrence Bishnoi's first interview took place in the custody of the CIA unit of the Punjab Police in Kharar.

The matter of police custody interview of Sidhu Moosewala murder mastermind Lawrence Bishnoi was heard in the Punjab-Haryana High Court today. The Punjab government told the court that it has initiated action against the accused officials in this case.

According to the government, show cause notices have been issued to the SSP, SP, DSP and CIA in-charge present at the time of Bishnoi's interview. Lawrence Bishnoi's first interview took place in the custody of the CIA unit of the Punjab Police in Kharar. The High Court specifically asked about the CIA in-charge of Kharar, Shiv Kumar, where he is posted.

On this, the public prosecutor said that he has retired but he has been given an extension. The court said that the details of the basis on which the extension was granted should be submitted.
