Threat Against Punjabi Star Diljit Dosanjh Sparks Major Security Response

In a dramatic turn of events, Punjab police have launched a comprehensive investigation and ramped up security measures following a menacing email warning of bomb attacks aimed at Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh's residence in Ludhiana and the Mayor's office. Fortunately, authorities have since deemed the threat a hoax after extensive searches revealed no suspicious activity at the targeted locations.

The alarming email, sent to official government accounts early in the morning, was allegedly traced back to a group identifying itself as the "Khalistan National Party" or "Khalistan National Army." It contained ominous demands for "blood for blood," referencing the tragic 1984 anti-Sikh riots and threatening anyone who supports the popular singer.

In response, police took swift action, temporarily evacuating municipal corporation offices and areas associated with Dosanjh as bomb disposal units and canine squads conducted thorough sweeps. While security has been significantly increased, it’s important to note that Diljit is not currently residing at the Ludhiana property.

This unsettling incident follows a confrontation the singer had with pro-Khalistan protesters during one of his concerts in Canada, which had already raised concerns about potential disruptions from US-based separatist groups.
