BC: Oscar Arfmann sentenced to life in prison without chance of parole for 25 years

BY , Feb 3, 2020 9:30 PM - REPORT AN ERROR

Oscar Arfmann has been sentenced to life in prison without eligibility for parole for 25 years for ambushing and shooting a police officer in Abbotsford in November 2017.

Arfmann was convicted of first-degree murder for the death of Constable John Davidson.

Arfmann's lawyer, Martin Peters, says his client has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and has very little understanding of what happened in court today.

Abbotsford Police Chief Mike Serr (SEER) says Davidson's death will remain with the police department forever.

Davidson's wife and kids told the court in victim impact statements that their lives have been shattered by his death and they will never forgive Arfmann.
