Drug Trafficking Network Operator Tyler Missen Sentenced to 11.5 Years in Prison
A man identified as Tyler Missen has been sentenced to 11.5 years in prison following an RCMP-led investigation into a drug trafficking network operating across several cities in B.C.
According to RCMP, the trafficking network was linked to Chilliwack, Abbotsford and Langley. On June 29, police carried out searches at multiple locations, seizing large quantities of drugs, weapons, vehicles and Canadian currency. Three people were arrested during the operation.
Missen, a Langley resident, pleaded guilty on July 2 while in custody to drug trafficking and weapons-related offences.

Former Punjabi Lawyer Arrested in $4.3M Mortgage Fraud Investigation
Peel Regional Police in Ontario have arrested a former Punjabi lawyer in connection with an alleged $4.3-million mortgage and cheque fraud investigation. The accused has been identified as 52-year-old Pawanjeet Singh Mann.
According to police, Mann is alleged to have been involved in mortgage fraud-related activities since 2019. His licence to practise law was revoked by the Ontario Law Society Tribunal in July 2025.

Road Rage Leads to SUV Vandalism, Police Search for Suspect Truck
Police are searching for a suspect vehicle following a road rage incident that led to a collision near Vegreville, east of Edmonton.
Officers were called around 12:45 p.m. Friday after a collision related to a road rage incident on Range Road 152, north of Township Road 522.
According to police, the driver of a black Dodge Ram overtook an SUV at a high speed before suddenly braking, causing the SUV travelling behind it to crash into the truck.
Following the collision, the suspect got out of the truck and used a crowbar to smash the driver’s side of the SUV before fleeing the scene.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith avoided addressing the province’s separatist movement in her speech at Heritage Park in Calgary during an Alberta Day event.

Sikh Man Targeted in Racist Attack in Toronto, Police Assign Investigation to Hate Crime Unit
A Sikh man was targeted in a suspected hate-motivated attack in Toronto, prompting police to assign the investigation to the Hate Crime Unit.
The incident happened Saturday at around 7:30 p.m. in the waterfront area near Queens Quay and Lower Spadina Avenue.
According to investigators, the victim was standing in the area when an unidentified man suddenly approached him without any apparent provocation. The suspect allegedly made racist remarks before pulling out a knife and attacking the victim in the leg.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and is now reported to be out of danger.
