Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has visited PEI to meet with some residents and see first-hand some of the extensive damage caused by post-tropical storm Fiona. Fiona left a trail of destruction across a wide swath of Atlantic Canada, stretching from Nova Scotia's eastern mainland to Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island and southwestern Newfoundland. Trudeau says some infrastructure was completely overwhelmed by the storm and Canada will need to plan for future climate-related disasters. Natasha Wodak sets new Canadian record in Berlin marathon

A North Vancouver runner says learning to enjoy training is what helped her smash a Canadian record at the Berlin Marathon yesterday. 40 year old Natasha Wodak finished 12th in the race, clocking in at two hours, 23 minutes and 12 seconds. Her time was more than a minute and a half faster that Malindi Elmore's record set in 2020. Wodak says she didn't enjoy her first marathon experience in 2013, however as she got older and more disciplined, she said she really started to enjoy the process of preparing.

On Thursday, September 23, 2022, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Peel Police officers were alerted to a white Jeep driving erratically near Queen Street West and Chinguacousy Road in the City of Brampton. Officers located the vehicle, and during its attempts to evade police, the driver struck two trees, three civilian vehicles and several police cruisers.
