Animal undoubtedly has marked its name in the most historic Indian movies ever made. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and many more in leading and pivotal roles, Animal will also be remembered for Bobby Deol’s exceptional portrayal as the antagonist of the film. Everybody who has watched the film was undoubtedly left craving for more. Just like netizens on the internet, all of us have also had at least one loud thought saying ‘Bobby Deol should have been introduced much earlier in the film’. But you should know that his limited screen space was actually pre planned by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Yes, in a recent and exclusive conversation with Connect FM Canada, Sandeep Reddy Vanga opened about the film's unbeatable success, Ranbir Kapoor, updated national crush Tripti Dimri, criticism and a lot more. And our host Faridoon Shahryar also made Sandeep finally unveil the reason behind Bobby’s limited screen space.

Emphasizing on the importance of the screenplay of the film, Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that he really wanted to save his villain for last as he was sure it was worth the wait. He said, “Everybody knew from the teaser and the trailer of the film that Bobby Deol is the villain and I knew that they are gonna wait. And from the beginning, right 15 minutes of the film, you know there is a tension about the villain throughout the film but we don't see his face.”

He continued to say, “Even after the interval, I could have opened it right after the interval also but I thought it was a very routine way to open up a villain. So I made the audience wait for 20-30 minutes more and then I introduced the face… like a bride.”

As the conversation grew strong, Sandeep also opened up about his desire to draw light on the different situations of Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol as the antagonist and the protagonist of the film. Speaking of the same, he stated, “I always wanted to show that Ranbir is in a very down phase and the villain is having fun and getting ready for his third marriage. I wanted to show the difference and yes, it worked.”

Sandeep truly has proved that he had a clear vision of what exactly he was doing to the film, and no doubt, it turned out to be an outstanding project. And now when Animal has finally left its mark on both audience's hearts and box office, it'd be exciting to see what magic Sandeep would create with the already anticipated Animal Park.
