Punjabi singers Karan Aujla, Harjit Harman and music company Speed Records have been summoned by the Punjab State Women Commission in regard to Karan’s latest song ‘Sharab’ in his music album ‘BacTHAfucUP’. A case has been filed by social activist Pandit Rao, while Manisha Gulati, the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission has made a complaint.

As per Rao, the song ‘Sharab’ passes some misleading remarks on women by comparing them to alcohol.

Manisha Gulati too took to her Twitter and shared the summon letter with the caption, “Recently, Punjabi singer Karan Aujla, Harjeet Harman's song 'Sharab' has made misleading remarks about women. We have summoned Karan Aujla, Harjeet Harman and Speed Record Company for a private hearing on September 22.”
