Anupam Kher Slams Those Using Abusive Language Against PM Modi

Veteran actor Anupam Kher has expressed anger over the abusive language used by some people against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during protests across the country over alleged irregularities in voter lists.

Kher said that while criticism of the government is an essential part of democracy, there should be no place for abusive language or violence in society.

In a video message shared on Instagram, Kher said people have every right to question the government, criticise the Prime Minister and disagree with his decisions. However, he said using derogatory language against PM Modi and his mother, as well as misbehaving with police personnel, including women police officers, during protests, was completely unacceptable.
