Metro Vancouver Students to Get Once-in-a-Lifetime FIFA World Cup Experience

Elementary school students from Metro Vancouver are set to enjoy a memorable opportunity during the seven FIFA World Cup matches being hosted in Vancouver. Through FIFA’s Player Escort Program, students involved with the Canada SCORES program will accompany the starting 11 players from each team onto the pitch before kickoff.

Charlotte Ring, National Manager of Development and Marketing for Canada SCORES, said the experience will be an incredible one for the children, many of whom might not otherwise have the chance to be part of such a major global sporting event.

After completing their duties as player escorts, the students will also be given the opportunity to watch the matches live from the stadium stands, making the experience even more special and unforgettable.
