America spoke on Kejriwal's arrest, said- We hope for a fair legal process
A day after the statement made by the US on the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has on Wednesday summoned American diplomat Gloria Barbena and expressed strong objection.
Foreign Ministry had a meeting with Barbena for about 40 minutes. India said that the US should respect each other's internal affairs and the Indian judiciary should not be questioned.
US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller had said that our government is monitoring the case of Kejriwal's arrest and we hope that the legal process in this case will be fair and transparent

President Joe Biden wins Missouri Democratic primary
President Joe Biden has won Missouri’s primary, the state Democratic Party announced.
Biden’s win was not in doubt; he has alreadybeaten his major competitors. But the primary races are still closely watched by insiders for turnout and signs of protest voters.
Saturday’s primary was the Missouri Democratic Party’s first party-run presidential contest since a new law took effect in August 2022.
The party says about 20,000 voters participated.
Missouri Republicans opted to hold a caucus this year, which former President Donald Trump won.

Pakistani police say 5 Chinese nationals and their local driver were killed in a suicide attack
A suicide bomber in northwest Pakistan rammed his explosive-laden car into a vehicle on Tuesday, killing five Chinese nationals and their Pakistani driver, police and government officials said.
The attack happened in Shangla, a district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, local police chief Bakhat Zahir said. He added that the five killed were construction workers and engineers.
Thousands of Chinese nationals are in Shangla, working on projects relating to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor which includes a multitude of mega projects such as road construction, power plants and agriculture.

UN demands cease-fire in Gaza during Muslim holy month of Ramadan, its 1st demand to halt fighting
The United Nations Security Council on Monday demanded a cease-fire in Gaza during the Muslimholy month of Ramadan, its first demand to halt fighting.
The United States abstained on the resolution, which also demanded the release of all hostages taken captive during Hamas’ Oct. 7 surprise attack in southern Israel. But the measure does not link that demand to the cease-fire during Ramadan, which ends April 9.
The vote comes after Russia and China vetoed a U.S.-sponsored resolution Friday that would have supported “an immediate and sustained cease-fire” in the Israeli-Hamas conflict.

Russia concert hall attack suspects appear in a Moscow courtroom
Suspects in the Russia concert hall attack, which left more than 130 dead, arrived at a Moscow district court on Sunday night.
There was a heavy police presence around the court, which is expected to determine pretrial restrictions for the men, who are suspected of opening fire on crowds of concert goers at the capital’s Crocus City Hall.
One of the suspects was led blindfolded into the courtroom. His blindfold was removed and a black eye was visible.
Friday’s attack, which has been claimed by an affiliate of the Islamic State group, is the deadliest on Russian soil in years.

North Korea says Japan's prime minister proposed summit with leader Kim Jong Un
North Korea said Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has proposed a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Kim’s sister and senior official, Kim Yo Jong, made the comments in a state media dispatch Monday.
Kim Yo Jong said that Kishida used an unspecified channel to convey his position that he wants to meet Kim Jong Un at an early date.

Russia and China veto US resolution calling for immediate cease-fire in Gaza
Russia and China on Friday vetoed a U.S.-sponsored U.N. resolution calling for “an immediate and sustained cease-fire” in theIsrael-Hamas warin Gaza to protect civilians and enable humanitarian aid to be delivered to more than 2 millionhungry Palestinians.

New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez says he won't run in Democratic primary
U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey said Thursday that he will not run in the Democratic primary as he facesfederal corruption charges, but he left open the possibility that he would reenter the race as an independent later this year if he is exonerated at a trial.
Menendez made the announcement in a video released Thursday afternoon.
The decision comes as Menendez fights federal bribery charges, along with his wife, Nadine, and three business associates.
Menendez and his spouse are charged with taking bribes of gold bars, cash and a Mercedes-Benz in return for the senator’s help with proje
