213 prisoners escape from Malir Jail in Karachi, Pakistan
At least 213 prisoners escaped from Malir Jail in Karachi, Pakistan on Monday night. According to the jail administration, the prisoners were evacuated from the barracks as a precaution after the earthquake tremors in Karachi.
According to the report, about 80 of them have been recaptured, while 135 prisoners are still on the run. Jail Superintendent Arshad Shah confirmed this on Tuesday morning. An Israeli strike on a residential building in the Gaza Strip on Monday killed 14 people, mostly women and children, according to health officials.
