Judge refuses McGill's bid for injunction to end encampment
A Quebec Superior Court judge has refused McGill University's request for an injunction to dismantle the pro-Palestinian encampment on its downtown Montreal campus.
Lawyers for the university had asked the court on Monday to order the protesters to stop occupying its grounds and to authorize Montreal police to assist the school in dismantling the encampment, which they say poses a health and safety risk.

Slovakia's prime minister injured in shooting
Media reports say Slovakia’s populist Prime Minister Robert Fico was injured in a shooting and taken to hospital. The incident took place in the town of Handlova, some 150 kilometers northeast of the capital, according to the news television station TA3. A suspect has been detained, it said.

Arvind Kejriwal will come to Punjab tomorrow, the Chief Minister will take out a big road show with Maan
Arvind Kejriwal himself is reaching to campaign for the candidates of the Aam Aadmi Party, which is fighting the election without an alliance with the Congress in Punjab. This is his first visit to Punjab after being granted temporary bail by the Supreme Court in the Delhi liquor scam.

Growing wildfires across Western Canada are forcing thousands from their homes
Thousands of people in Western Canada remain displaced from their homes as wildfires threaten their communities, triggering evacuation orders and alerts.
In British Columbia, a widening area around the northeastern community of Fort Nelson is under evacuation, with the Parker Lake wildfire burning close by and the larger Patry Creek wildfire raging to the northwest.
Both blazes are listed with the B.C. Wildfire Service as "wildfires of note," with Parker Lake measuring 84 square kilometres in size and the Patry Creek blaze covering a whopping 464 square kilometres.
