Shiromani Akali Dal will not contest the Lok Sabha elections from Chandigarh now

Shiromani Akali Dal is not contesting the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat. The reason for this is that Shiromani Akali Dal has no leadership in Chandigarh. In the past, the only councilor of the party, Hardeep Singh Butrella, had joined the Aam Aadmi Party. He was also the president of Shiromani Akali Dal's Chandigarh unit and the party made him the Lok Sabha candidate but he returned the candidature ticket to Sukhbir Singh Badal accusing him of not being supported by the party.

Fire officials worry wind could push wildfire into B.C. town today

A fire behaviour specialist with the B.C.
