Former Punjab cabinet minister and senior Congress leader Sadhu Singh Dharamsot is coming out of jail, the Punjab-Haryana High Court has granted him bail till June 5 and asked him to surrender on June 6. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, like Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal, filed a bail application for campaigning.

Dharamsot is facing charges in a case related to a forest scam worth crores of rupees. He is a former MLA from Nabha assembly constituency. This constituency comes under Patiala Lok Sabha constituency. He had to face defeat in the assembly elections held in 2022.

It is to be noted that the Supreme Court has granted interim bail to Kejriwal till June 1 and asked him to surrender on June 2 under any circumstances. The court said that if there were no elections, there was no question of giving bail.
