Burnaby RCMP are appealing for public help in finding a man who went missing nearly 10 years ago. RCMP say George Laurie Wood was last seen on June 20, 2015, when he was dropped off at the Surrey Central Sky Train station. Corporal Doug McLaughlin said there is no word yet on Laurie Wood. He said the search for Laurie Wood has not stopped and anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999. Police said Laurie Wood is an Indigenous man, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with brown hair and eyes.

In Punjab, 12 people, including Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Khadoor Sahib Manjinder Singh Lalpura, have been convicted in a case of beating and molesting a woman 12 years ago. The district court of Tarn Taran, while hearing the case on Wednesday, said that the convicts will be sentenced on September 12.
