BMW will set up a spare parts plant in Punjab: Bhagwant Mann
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has claimed that BMW is going to set up its spare parts plant in the state. This plant will be in Mandi Gobindgarh.
CM Bhagwant Mann said that he will lay its foundation stone next month. The Chief Minister said that the officials of BMW Company had arrived in Chandigarh today, where they had a detailed discussion about this project.
According to reports, 700 people will get direct and indirect employment with this BMW plant.

FIR registered against Ravneet Singh Bittu over ‘terrorist’ remark against Rahul Gandhi
Ravneet Singh Bittu, Union Minister of BJP from Punjab has once again attacked Rahul Gandhi, he said that he has no regret for calling Rahul Gandhi a terrorist and neither will he apologise.
Bittu said that the Gandhi family destroyed Punjab as a result of which the state lost several generations. Ravneet Bittu said that I express my pain as a Sikh, I am a minister later. He said that Rahul Gandhi's statements are creating communal division in the country.

Approval of 'One Nation One Election', resolution passed in the Modi Cabinet
The Narendra Modi government of India has given the green signal to the proposal to hold the assembly elections along with the Lok Sabha elections in the country as 'One Nation One Election'. This bill will be presented in the Parliament in the winter session November-December.
It is to be noted that the committee headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind, formed to consider 'One Nation One Election' submitted its report to President Draupadi Murmu on March 14. In the report, it has been recommended to extend the tenure of all the Vidhan Sabhas till the next Lok Sabha elections 2029.

A hearing was held in the case of NSA being imposed on Amritpal
The Punjab-Haryana High Court has ordered the Punjab government to produce all the records related to the extension of NSA on Amritpal Singh and his accomplice Daljit Kalsi and has also asked the Center on what basis the NSA was extended.
Now the Punjab and Central Government will have to give the information related to this in the High Court by October 3. Both Amritpal Singh and Daljit Singh Kalsi, lodged in Dibrugarh Jail, have said in their petition that the fresh imposition of NSA on them is wrong and unconstitutional, which should be rejected.
