SIT Summons Bikram Singh Majithia Again in Drug Racket Case

The Punjab Police has issued a summons to Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia, requesting him to appear for questioning on March 17 as part of the ongoing investigation into a drug smuggling case filed in December 2021.

Majithia has been summoned to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar in Patiala. He will be questioned in connection with the multi-crore drugs case.

Majithia had previously been jailed in this case and was granted bail by the Punjab-Haryana High Court on August 10, 2022. A case was registered against him under the NDPS Act during the tenure of the former Congress government in Punjab.

Calgary police say 11-year-old boy in hospital after being hit by LRT train

An 11-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a light rail train car. Calgary police say the boy was walking in a marked crosswalk at Banff Trail Station when the CTrain entered the station. The pedestrian barriers weren't down, and the train struck the boy.
