National Bank of Canada, Canada's 6th largest bank, has cleared a major regulatory hurdle to buy Edmonton-based Canadian Western Bank.

A farmer committed suicide on the Khanuri border of Punjab-Haryana
Today, a farmer committed suicide on the Khanuri border of Punjab-Haryana. The deceased Gurmeet Singh was a resident of Thothianwala village of Mansa district. It is being told that since the farmers' dharna started, he was at the Khanuri border and rarely went home.
