Rahul Gandhi arrived in Amritsar, paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib
Amidst the end of campaigning for by-elections in Punjab, former national president and senior leader of Congress Rahul Gandhi reached Sri Amritsar this evening, where he paid obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harimandar Sahib.
Meanwhile, he also performed the service of cleaning the utensils in the langar hall, and also recited kirtan of divine Gurbani. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib in October 2023. He also reached Sri Amritsar during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Eight of 14 Gidderbaha nominees non-voters
In the mother of all political battles in Gidderbaha, neither Congress candidate Amrita Warring nor BJP nominee Manpreet Singh Badal can vote in the constituency. The reason for this is that they are voters of the Muktsar and Lambi Assembly constituencies, respectively.
On the other hand, AAP candidate Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon is a voter of Gidderbaha town.

Delhi Schools up to 5th Standard Closed, Online Classes to Be Held: Atishi
In response to the escalating pollution levels in Delhi NCR, the government has issued orders for online classes for students up to class V until further notice.

Giani Harpreet Singh's Z-security withdrawn
The union government has withdrawn the Z-category security provided to Giani Harpreet Singh. He, however, would continue to have the security cover provided to him by the Punjab police and the SGPC.

The political future of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) patron and former Punjab deputy chief minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal, will be discussed on Wednesday during a meeting called by the Akal Takht, the supreme Sikh seat of authority.

Punjab byelections 2024: Change in date for bypolls in 4 constituencies
The date for the bypoll in four Assembly seats in Punjab has been rescheduled. On Monday, the Election Commission announced changes to the earlier scheduled byelections for 15 Assembly seats across Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Kerala. The polls, which were originally set for November 13, will now be conducted on November 20, while the results will be declared on November 23, as initially planned.
