Doctors Provide Update on Dallewal’s Health, Issue Medical Bulletin
On the 57th day of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s hunger strike at the Khanauri border of Punjab-Haryana, doctors issued a medical bulletin indicating slight improvement in his condition following medical intervention on Saturday night.
The results of Dallewal’s blood sample are expected to be released soon. In his first statement after receiving treatment, Dallewal mentioned that he agreed to get treatment due to pressure from 121 farmers also on hunger strike.

Delhi Assembly Elections: Congress Releases List of 40 Star Campaigners
The Congress has released a list of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. By-Elections to Be Held Again in Punjab
Another by-election will soon be held in Punjab. The government has issued a notification to conduct re-elections in the Ludhiana West constituency before July 10. The seat became vacant following the recent death of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Gurpreet Singh Gogi, who represented Ludhiana West in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Gogi passed away on January 11 after being accidentally shot while cleaning his revolver.

Kangana Ranaut’s Controversial Movie ‘Emergency’ Faces Ban in Punjab
Kangana Ranaut’s controversial film Emergency has not been shown in any cinema halls in Punjab. The film faced strong opposition from Sikh organizations and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). Cinema theater owners across the state refused to screen the film. Sikh organizations staged protests with black flags outside cinema halls in Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and Mohali, prompting police deployment.

SGPC demands ban on film ‘Emergency’
Amid protests from Sikh organizations in Punjab, Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ is releasing tomorrow, January 17. Expressing its protest regarding this film, the Shiromani Committee had registered an objection with the Punjab Chief Secretary on November 14, 2024.
At the same time, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami today sent a letter to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann demanding an immediate ban on this film in the state. Farmers at Shambhu Border Announce March to Delhi
