India: Home Minister Amit Shah tests positive for coronavirus, admitted to hospital
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday informed that he has tested positive for coronavirus and has been advised by the doctors to be admitted to the hospital.
Taking to Twitter, Shah said that he underwent coronavirus test after getting the initial symptoms of the virus.
He also appealed to people who have come in contact with him in the last few days to isolate themselves and get tested.

7 more arrested in spurious liquor case in Punjab: Police
Seven persons were arrested on Friday from Amritsar Rural, Batala, and Tarn Taran districts in connection with the spurious liquor case in Punjab.As many as 38 people died in the three districts allegedly after drinking spurious liquor.The Punjab Police set up five teams to conduct raids across affected districts. 103 dead, 56 lakh affected due to Assam floods
A total of 103 people have died and 56,71,018 people from 5,305 villages have been affected by the floods here, a flood report from the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) stated on Tuesday."So far, a total of 30 districts have been affected in the state so far and 129 revenue circles have been affected. 56,71,018 people from 5,305 villages have felt the direct impact of the floods. PM Modi launches 'throughput COVID-19 testing' facility
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched high throughput COVID-19 testing facilities on July 27. The facilities were launched in three cities including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Kolkata via video conferencing. 6 members of a single family succumb to COVID-19 in India
Six members of a family in Jharkhand's Dhanbad have succumbed to COVID-19, officials said."Six aged members of a family have died due to COVID-19. Two more members of the same family have tested positive, but their condition is stable. We are doing their contact tracing," Gopal Das, Civil surgeon, Dhanbad told reporters.An 88 year old woman passed away at a nursing home in Bokaro on July 4.
