Congress has approved the name of former Chief Minister Charanjit Channi to contest Lok Sabha elections from Jalandhar seat of Punjab. Two young men from the same village of Hoshiarpur's Dasuha district died in a terrible road accident in America. The deceased men have been identified as 23-year-old Sukhjinder Singh and Simranjit Singh, residents of Turkana village. Both of them went to America two years ago to earn a living. They used to run a trailer together in America. Recently, while going to New Mexico from California, they were hit by a trolley coming from the wrong side on Highway No. 144.
