Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who led the farmers' movement at the Khanauri border of Punjab-Haryana, paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib today and prayed for the successful completion of the Kisan Morcha.
Speaking to the media, Dallewal criticized both the Centre and the Punjab government for their indifference to the issues faced by farmers. He pointed out that while the state government once claimed to be pro-farmer, since the dismantling of the Kisan Morcha, the public’s anger toward the government has only grown. He warned that this sentiment would persist until the 2027 elections.

MP Amritpal Singh Set to Be Released from Dibrugarh Jail, But Legal Troubles Persist
Amritpal Singh, Member of Parliament from Khadoor Sahib in Punjab and chief of the ‘Waris Punjab De’ organization, is expected to be released from Dibrugarh jail on April 22. The government has not extended his detention under the National Security Act (NSA) so far.
However, Amritpal’s legal troubles are far from over. Even after his release, he will continue to face charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and for an alleged attack on the Ajnala police station. Shiromani Akali Dal to Announce New President Before Baisakhi
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will announce its new party president on Saturday, just before Baisakhi. The decision was made by the Shiromani Akali Working Committee, which has scheduled the election of the new president for April 12 at Teja Singh Samundri Hall in the Sri Darbar Sahib complex, Amritsar.

Late-Night Grenade Attack on BJP Leader Manoranjan Kalia’s House
