Lok Sabha Elections: Amritpal Singh sought temporary release to file nomination papers

Amritpal Singh, head of Waris Punjab organization, who is preparing to contest election as an independent candidate from Khadur Sahib Lok Sabha seat of Punjab, has sought temporary release to file nomination papers and for this he has applied in the Punjab Haryana High Court. The court will hear it on Friday. It is to be noted that at present Amritpal Singh is locked up in Dibrugarh Jail of Assam under the National Security Act along with his colleagues. Punjab Police arrested Amritpal Singh in April 2023 from Rode village of Moga district.
