One man has died.Shortly before 1:30 a.m. this morning, Patrol officers were called to 500-block of Yates Street for a report that a man had been stabbed. Officers attended and located the man suffering from life-threatening injuries. Officers provided emergency first aid before B.C. A Vancouver Police investigation has led to charges against a Vancouver man in connection with an alleged carjacking in Fairview.The robbery occurred around 8:40 a.m. Sunday, after a 58-year-old woman was forced out of her vehicle near Cambie Street and West Broadway. An alert bystander called 9-1-1 and provided a description for VPD officers, who responded immediately.While some officers tended to the victim, others patrolled the city in search of the stolen car.Shortly before 10 a.m., a VPD officer located the suspect and the car in Strathcona. Emergency crews were in the area of Pine St at Fitzwilliam St of Nanaimo on Sunday.At approximatley 8:20pm, a vacant home was destroyed by an explosion. The immediate area was closed to the public after the incident. 2 people were injured in the incident according to reports. First responders asked motorists to avoid the area after the explosion.
