RCMP say family of six dead in camper fire in rural Nova Scotia

Six members of a family have died in a fire Sunday evening in a travel trailer in rural Nova Scotia. The RCMP say firefighters were called to Mountain Road in Millvale, N.S., Sunday evening around 6:30 p.m. A release says when they arrived, officers discovered the bodies of a 30-year-old man, a 28-year-old woman and four children, ages three, four, eight and 11. It will be up to the fire marshal's office to establish the cause of the fire, but police say after a preliminary investigation they do not consider the fire suspicious. Accused pleads guilty to fraud charges after $130,000 stolen through medical office

In September 2018 the New Westminster Police Department received a report of suspected fraud connected to a New Westminster medical office. The victim claimed that cash was missing from the medical office, and that suspicious large withdrawals were appearing in the bank account connected to the business. The NWPD Major Crime Unit launched an investigation into the missing money and soon took conduct over another investigation involving large withdrawals from another medical office located in Vancouver. Three North York residents have been sentenced for their roles in a stolen liquor trafficking operation involving more than $1.3 million worth of alcohol, according to Halton Regional Police. 129 Wildfires Active Across B.C. as Brunswick Complex Fire Remains Out of Control

British Columbia's Minister of Forests and BC Wildfire Service, Ravi Parmar, says 129 wildfires are currently active across the province.
