Flood warnings, evacuations remain in place in British Columbia

Several rivers in B-C remain under flood warnings and hundreds of homes evacuated as the province cleans up from heavy rainfall. There are 12 evacuation orders involving 350 homes in the Fraser Valley, and more than 1,600 are on alert. Armel Castellan, a meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada, says the floods on the heels of summer's extreme heat is in line with expected trends. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in after a 45 year old man died in hospital following a shooting in Surrey. RCMP say the man was taken to hospital early Monday morning and died of his injuries yesterday. IHIT launches homicide investigation after woman found dead in Mission home

Police in Mission are investigating the death of a woman found inside a home Sunday night as a homicide case. According to Mission RCMP, officers responded around 11:30 p.m. to a report of an injured person at a residence in the 33600 block of Dewdney Trunk Road.
