Environment Canada has lifted all weather alerts for British Columbia, and the River Forecast Centre has lifted all flood watches on Vancouver Island and the central coast.

Rivers in those two areas have reached peak levels and are now receding, but flood warnings remain in effect in other areas where snowmelt is causing rivers to rise.

DriveBC warns highway conditions are dynamic after another landslide closed Highway 99 between Lillooet and Pemberton just hours after it was re-opened last night.

Missing youths found in Leduc, man charged with sexual assault and child luring

Sex charges have been laid after two youths were reported missing from a town east of Edmonton and later found in the company of a man. Police say the two youths were reported missing from the Two Hills area on Tuesday and located in Leduc, south of Edmonton. A 40-year-old man from Two Hills was arrested and faces charges that include two counts each of sexual interference, sexual assault and possession of child pornography, and three counts of child luring.

A pedestrian has been reported dead after being hit by a train in Chilliwack. The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. The RCMP’s Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment reported the incident in a social media post.
