Two vehicles race, crash in North Vancouver
Two high end BMWs were impounded and their drivers ticketed after racing and then crashing this weekend. On January 15th at approximately 12:00 am members from the North Vancouver RCMP Traffic unit were conducting speed enforcement on Hwy 1 at Westview Drive when they observed two high end BMWs in tandem, racing Eastbound at a high rate of speed.Using a speed measuring device, officers determined both vehicles were travelling at 145 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. Search warrant leads to seizure of loaded shotgun and large amount of drugs
Surrey RCMP is advising the public of a significant seizure of drugs, cash and a loaded shotgun from a residence in Whalley area. Coordinated effort results in guilty plea to four business break and enters
Richmond RCMP Property Crime Unit investigation results in guilty plea to break and enters to four Richmond businesses. With assistance from the Integrated Municipal Provincial Auto Crime Team (IMPACT), Richmond RCMP Property Crime Unit successfully laid charges against a man associated to four break and enters in Richmond. Family of Surrey homicide victims provide statement
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) continue to investigate the deaths of three family members in their Surrey home. Background: On January 9, 2023, shortly after 12:00 p.m., Surrey RCMP attended a residence in the 15600-block of 112 Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered three deceased adults inside the home. IHIT took conduct of the investigation and continue to work closely in partnership with the Surrey RCMP, the BC Coroners Service and the RCMP Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS). New fund to protect thousands of renters in B.C. - Premier Eby
More renters in B.C. will be protected from housing speculators and profiteers through the creation of a new $500 million Rental Protection Fund dedicated to protecting tenants and preserving affordable rental homes for decades. VPD searches for man wanted in summer stranger assault
Vancouver Police are asking for help to locate a man wanted province-wide in connection a random assault last summer. Andrew Kim Jack, 51, was charged with indecent act and assault with a weapon, following a series of incidents downtown on August 29. He was released on bail, but failed to attend court. His whereabouts are currently unknown. Anyone who sees Andrew Kim Jack, or knows his whereabouts, is asked to contact their local police agency.

Surrey: Police investigating overnight shooting
Surrey RCMP are investigating following a shooting in the Whalley area overnight. On January 11, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Surrey RCMP received multiple 911 calls that a man had been shot near a convenience store in the 13100-block of 104 Avenue. Police attended and located a 44-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries. Police search for blue Pontiac Sunfire after man brutally assaulted
The New Westminster Police are appealing for witnesses, and dash-cam footage after a man was found unconscious and suffering serious injuries near Begbie and Carnarvon Street. The man was sent to a local area hospital and was being treated for life-altering injuries.The incident happened on December 23, 2022 at approximately 11:15 pm. The New Westminster Police Department Major Crime Unit has learned the victim was assaulted by someone who was with two other people at the time of the assault. Delta: High number of catalytic converter thefts reported
Delta is experiencing a high number of catalytic converter thefts. Since January 1st, 2023, the Delta Police Department (DPD) has received 33 reports of catalytic converter thefts. Most of these thefts have occurred overnight and are spread throughout Delta.Catalytic converters are stolen because they contain several precious metals more valuable than gold. As of December 2022, rhodium was worth $12,600/ounce, palladium $1,854/ounce, and platinum $1,021/ounce.
