3 dead as speeding ambulance crashes into toll gate in Karnataka's Udupi
Three people died and four others were injured after a speeding ambulance toppled at a toll gate, near Karnataka's Byndoor on Wednesday.
The incident took place at Shiroor in Udupi district's Byndoor taluk.
As per information, the ambulance was moving a patient from Honnavar to Udupi.
Seven people were travelling in the ambulance.
The condition of one is critical and two injured have been admitted to the hospital.

Turkish strikes in north Iraq kill 8 tourists, wound over 20
Iraqi Kurdish officials and Iraq's military say eight tourists have been killed and over 20 wounded after Turkish airstrikes struck northern Iraq.
The Wednesday attack hit a resort area in the northern semi-autonomous Kurdish region.
All casualties in the attack were Iraqis. Turkey regularly carries out airstrikes into northern Iraq and has sent commandos to support its offensives targeting elements of the outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party or PKK.

Two Sidhu Moose Wala killers gunned down in encounter with Punjab Police
Two Sidhu Moose Wala killers were gunned down after a heavy exchange of fire with Punjab Police near Amritsar on Wednesday, according to an official.

Alberta expanding supports and consolidating services for victims of crime
EDMONTON - The Alberta government plans to expand the range of supports available to victims of crime starting this fall.
Justice Minister Tyler Shandro said Tuesday that the changes, set to begin Sept. 1, aim to give additional help to victims of violence who face complex and unique problems.
Among the changes, victims needing help coping with a severe brain injury would be able to access up to $100,000 with ongoing supplemental benefits of $1,000 a month.
Victims of human trafficking would be eligible for up to $1,000 for temporary accommodation and up to $5,000 for relocation expenses.

British Columbia trains, recruits more allied health professionals
The province has announced it is funding 322 new health-care training seats at institutions around BC.
