A 17-year old man was arrested after a stabbing outside a Surrey High School. Background: On November 22, 2022, at approximately 12:08 p.m., the Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing outside of Tamanawis Secondary School, located in the 12600-block of 66 Avenue, Surrey. Officers arrived within minutes and located an 18-year old man suffering life-threatening injuries. Despite the best efforts of responding officers, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. An active an unfolding police incident has currently closed Coquihalla BC Highway #5 north of Hope B.C., and south of Merritt B.C. No public or commercial vehicle are being allowed passage at this time. The public should anticipate delays and plan alternative routes for the next few hours while this incident unfolds.A large number of policing resources from surrounding areas are being sent to the area of Juliet Bridge, just south of Merritt near the Coquihalla summit. A 17-year-old boy has been charged after Vancouver Police discovered a cache of loaded guns and other dangerous weapons inside a Downtown Eastside rooming house Saturday. Officers working in the Downtown Eastside responded to a report Saturday that someone had unlawfully entered a room inside the Grand Union, a rooming house near Abbott and West Hastings streets. When officers arrived, they were confronted by a teenager holding a loaded gun. Surrey RCMP is currently on scene following stabbing in the Newton area of Surrey that has left one person deceased. RCMP say more gunfire linked to spate of shootings this week around Merritt, B.C.

Mounties in Merritt say they're dealing with more gunplay in the city today that they ``strongly believe'' to be linked to a rash of shots fired this week. Three Punjabi Youths Arrested After Illegal Gun Seized During Brampton Traffic Stop

Peel Regional Police have arrested three Punjabi youths in Brampton after a traffic stop led to the seizure of an illegal firearm. With this latest seizure, the total number of illegal firearms seized by Peel police this year has reached 112.
