A suspected case of monkeypox, the first in India, has been reported from Kerala, the state health minister said on Thursday. A traveller who arrived in Kerala three days ago from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was hospitalised after he displayed symptoms of monkeypox. Samples from the traveller have been sent for testing to the National Institute of Virology in Pune, health minister Veena George said today adding that the case can be confirmed only after the results of the test are obtained. The government announced on Wednesday that citizens above 18 years of age will be given booster doses free of cost from July 15 for the next 75 days as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations and Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal. Edmonton and Calgary's average household income drops, but still highest in Canada

Data released by Statistics Canada shows people living in Edmonton and Calgary brought home less money in 2020 than they did five years prior. They were the only two cities among Canada's 10 largest urban centres to experience a decline in median after-tax income of households.
