Grandparents, grandchild among 4 dead in wrong-way 401 pursuit crash
Two grandparents and their infant grandchild were killed on a busy stretch of Highway 401 on Monday night after a van being chased by police east of Toronto crashed while going the wrong way, causing a multi-vehicle collision.
The crash – which also left the person in the suspect van dead raised questions about the police pursuit that had been triggered by an alleged liquor store robbery, as Ontario's police watchdog began its investigation into what happened.

London Drugs probes if personal data was breached in cyber incident that shut stores
London Drugs is investigating whether personal data was compromised in a cybersecurity incident that prompted the company to close all of its stores across Western Canada until further notice.
A statement from the retailer and pharmacy chain says it will notify "affected individuals" if the probe finds their data was breached.
The company says it's working with third-party cybersecurity experts to securely bring its operations back online after discovering the incident on Sunday.
An earlier statement said there was no reason to believe customer or employee data had been affected by the inciden

Netanyahu vows to invade Rafah 'with or without a deal' as cease-fire talks with Hamas continue
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged Tuesday to launch an incursion into a Gaza city sheltering hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
Netanyahu said Israel would enter Rafah to destroy Hamas’ battalions there “with or without a deal.” Israel and Hamas are negotiating a cease-fire agreement meant to free hostages and bring some relief to the nearly 7-month-long war.
Netanyahu has vowed to achieve “total victory” in the war and has faced pressure from his nationalist governing partners to launch an offensive in Rafah, which Israel says is Hamas’ last major stronghold.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann meet Arvind Kejriwal
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today meet his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail and said that the 'AAP' supremo has asked him to actively campaign for India Alliance candidates in the Lok Sabha elections.
Mann also told reporters that Kejriwal's health is fine and he is taking insulin. This was Bhagwant Mann's second meeting with Kejriwal in jail in the last 15 days. Kejriwal has been in Tihar jail under judicial custody since April 1 in a money-laundering case related to the Delhi liquor scam.

Dalvir Singh Goldi resigned from the Congress party
Dalvir Singh Goldi, a former MLA from the Punjab Congress axis, has left the Congress. In 2022, he came into the limelight when he contested against Bhagwant Mann from Dhuri Vidhan Sabha constituency but lost the election.

B.C. secures eight new sites for middle-income rental housing scheme
British Columbia has secured eight new sites for its BC Builds program, in which land owned by the province, non-profits or community groups is pre-zoned to build middle-income rental housing.
The new sites include three in the Township of Langley, one each in Kelowna and Kamloops, as well as properties in Sooke and Chemainus on Vancouver Island and Elkford in East Kootenay region.
The province says it is now seeking proposals for all eight sites to "fast-track" rental homes, as BC Builds backs the projects with low-cost financing.
